How to play
King of the Hill

Move your king to the center of the board - the hill - to win.

Introduction

The aim of King of the Hill is win by regular orthodox rules, or to get your king to the center of the board to become King of the Hill.

Moving the king to either D4, D5, E4 or E5 will result in a win.

This variant is played from the standard starting position of Standard Chess.

Moves of the Pieces

The moves of the pieces remains the same as Standard Chess.

Pawn Promotion

Pawn promotion rules remains the same as Standard Chess.

Castling

Castling rules remains the same as Standard Chess.

En Passant

En passant rules remains the same as Standard Chess.

Check and Checkmate

Check and Checkmate rules remain the same as Standard Chess.

Stalemate

Stalemate conditions remain the same as Standard Chess.

Draw

Draw conditions remain the same as Standard Chess.

Winning

Winning conditions remain the same as Standard Chess, with the addition that the game can be won by moving a King to the center squares at D4, D5, E4 or E5.
